As we explored spectacular locations and exceptional downhill runs, we realized that the equipment available on the market did not meet our needs. To fill this gap, we started to design and produce our own high-end equipment, with useful and sophisticated features. However, while shooting a snowboard video on the Arlberg, we were confronted with an avalanche, which resulted in the injury of freerider and product designer, Holger Feist. Analyzing the situation, Holger realized that a backpack with back protection could have prevented his injury caused by the avalanche shovel in his pack. This experience inspired the idea of creating a backpack with integrated back protection.

The concept of a backpack with back protection, which was inspired by a snowboarding accident, led to an idea for mountain bikers. Since the risk of falling on the back is high when mountain biking, Holger Feist thought that the protective backpack would also be suitable for this activity. However, the ATV backpacks of the time were not ergonomically designed for sport use. During a three-week expedition through Tibet in 2000, Holger described his backpack as "a football on his back". So he decided to design his own protective backpack when he returned to Munich. After making a prototype that worked well on the trails of La Paz, another problem arose: bike transportation. When Holger received his bike in parts at the airport, he realized that there was no satisfactory solution for transporting bikes on the market. Thus, the idea of the first bicycle carrying bag BIKE TRAVEL BAG was born, which was designed with great attention to detail to ensure safe and convenient transportation of bikes. Functionality, comfort, protection and quality were at the center of this design to ensure that no one ever has to worry about their gear again.

EVOC was founded in 2008 after Mr. Lee, owner of the "Flying Ball" bike store, was impressed by one of the first bike bags made by Holger Feist and Bernd Stucke. Since then, the company has focused on the quality, functionality and durability of its products, while setting trends in design, comfort and protection. EVOC tests all of its products itself and is constantly working to improve them, conveying its passion for sport and travel through every product it creates. EVOC's philosophy is to protect the things you love, offering high quality backpack, bag and luggage designs, with a special focus on protecting people and equipment.
