Presentation

Jeff is a mountain enthusiast: hiking, mountaineering, climbing, via ferrata, and ski touring. For these various activities, Jeff needs versatile gear, which is why he decided to purchase the Summit series from The North Face, which features the new Futurelight. "I was looking for a jacket that could adapt to all my activities and conditions. I didn't want to carry my windbreaker and rain jacket anymore because I sweat a lot in them. His journey

For this test, Jeff crossed the Grand Balcon Nord from the Plan de l’Aiguille to the Montenvers station at Chamonix, reaching an altitude of 2310m. He particularly recommends equipping yourself with affordable hiking gear to progress with complete peace of mind.

Test conditions

During this test day, there was a lot of rain as shown in my photos. In these conditions, having a good men's snowboard jacket or men's bike jackets, depending on the activity, is a real plus.

His perception of the product

Since the first fitting, Jeff loved the product: "it's a revelation for me; the jacket has a nice cut and brings modernity to mountain clothing." To complete his outfit, he does not hesitate to look for hiking gear at the best price to be ready to face all conditions.

After this test in difficult conditions, his testimony:

"Not much to say. This jacket is really pleasant to wear even in bad conditions. This product is waterproof and windproof while wicking moisture away. Even though I was only wearing a short-sleeved t-shirt underneath, I didn't sweat underneath."
