Cycling requires clothing that is adapted to your activity. If you practice several disciplines you will need several outfits. Indeed, you will not dress the same way if you ride a road bike in summer or if you ride a mountain bike in winter. Choosing your cycling clothes is not a random choice!

EQUIP YOURSELF ACCORDING TO THE DISCIPLINE

What type of cycling do you want to do? It is rare to see a road cyclist dressed the same way as a mountain biker, so this is the first criterion to define when choosing the right clothing.

IN THE CITY

For urban cyclists who use their bike to go to work, to go shopping or simply to walk around town, you need to be comfortable! Choose comfortable clothing with loose fitting to be comfortable on your bike.

IN TRAVEL

For cycling for several days or more than a week, select multi-purpose clothing that have comfort, lightness, resistance and compactness.

AT MTB

Textiles designed for mountain biking are both close-fitting and loose-fitting so they don't restrict your freedom of movement as you hurtle down the trails. For the bottom, choose a padded undershort and sturdy shorts, or mountain bike shorts or pants, depending on the type of trail. For the top, opt for a jersey with zippered pockets in the back or a backpack to take with you tools but especially nutritional supplies.

ON ROAD

Road cycling clothing combines breathability and aerodynamics with fitted cuts for a second skin effect. These technical and very light fabrics will allow you to pedal in optimal conditions!

Indeed, the choice of your equipment depends on your objectives but also on the frequency of your rides, the duration of your practice and your level. Your clothing expectations will therefore not be the same.

EQUIPMENT ACCORDING TO THE WEATHER CONDITIONS

Although it is more pleasant to ride in good weather, cyclists ride in all types of weather. You should therefore choose your cycling clothes according to the region where you live, the season and the weather conditions.

IN SUMMER :

The goal is to be lightly dressed so as not to be too hot. The essential criterion for riding on a sunny day is to be equipped with breathable textiles. For the upper body, you should opt for a short-sleeved jersey made of mesh to allow an effective evacuation of perspiration. For the lower part of the body, a simple, short, comfortable cycling shorts will suffice.

Our selection of equipment for the summer:

DID YOU KNOW :

White repels the sun's rays and keeps you feeling cool while black, like all other dark colors, absorbs the sun's rays and therefore provides warmth and impacts your conditions and performance.

MID-SEASON:

Spring and fall are not the most obvious times to know what to wear. You have to juggle between temperature changes and sometimes unpredictable weather.

For the upper body, a sleeveless undergarment with a short or long sleeve cycling jersey. Don't hesitate to slip a light and compact waterproof windbreaker into your jersey pocket, useful when the wind blows hard and the weather is bad!
For the lower body: short or long shorts depending on the temperature outside and leggings in case of a drop in temperature. For complete your outfit choose thin gloves to keep your hands warm and grip your handlebars.

IN WINTER:

The priority is to protect yourself from the cold and humidity. For the upper body, respect the 3-layer rule with a cycling undergarment, your cycling jersey and a thermal jacket. This multi-layered system will ensure excellent thermal insulation and optimal elimination of sweat produced during exercise. For the lower body you will need long tights with fleece lining and you will also need insulated gloves and shoe covers.
