Solution Dyeing

Solution dyeing involves adding pigments directly into the molten plastic solution before the fiber is manufactured. Patagonia mainly uses solution dyeing for its environmental impact: this process saves up to 80% water and 63% CO2 in total, with considerably less chemical release throughout the process.
