To further strengthen its position, VAUDE has established a high-level external advisory committee composed of six renowned experts. This committee will provide specialized advice on all aspects related to Green Shape, thus ensuring the development of the highest criteria and their compliance with the strictest standards in the textile industry. The next step for VAUDE is to obtain external accreditation for the Green Shape label, thereby enhancing its credibility and commitment to sustainability in the outdoor industry.

Since the introduction of its own Green Shape label for sustainable textiles in 2010, VAUDE has seen many developments. The proportion of Green Shape labeled products at VAUDE continues to increase and now represents the majority of the products offered. The strict requirements have been refined and extended to cover the entire product life cycle, including the introduction of additional criteria such as repairability assessment. The latest version of Green Shape, implemented from the summer 2022 collection, includes comprehensive updates, with particular attention paid to supplier and material certification. From now on, each Green Shape product must consist of at least 50% recycled or bio-based materials, reflecting VAUDE's ambitious climate goals regarding CO2 emission reductions in the supply chain.
