SIP Power from Primus is an environmentally friendly gas solution. Primus's policy in its SIP program is to limit the carbon footprint by:

Reducing transportation during manufacturing,
Sourcing steel in Europe,
Manufacturing and assembling the cartridge in Europe,
Using gas produced in Europe.

Unlike most traditional cartridges that are manufactured and filled in South Korea, Primus supports the biogas industry, which is derived from food waste. For each cartridge produced, Primus finances the production of biogas that is used for other applications (district heating...) in Sweden.

With this initiative, Primus limits its environmental impact and hopes one day to completely eliminate fossil fuels in the use of camping and outdoor stoves. In addition, like all threaded valve gas cartridges, the Primus SIP Power can be safely unscrewed after use thanks to its self-sealing system (non-return valve) in compliance with the EN417 standard. The steel of the gas cartridges is also recyclable.

Compared to the Primus Power Gas cartridges, the ecological impact of the Primus SIP Power is less than 50%. The SIP program stands for "Sustainable Improvement Program" in English.
