How to choose the right cap or hat?

When choosing a cap or hat, it's important to take several factors into account. First of all, it's essential to know the size of your head in order to find the hat that's right for you. If you don't have this information, you can opt, for example, for a snapback model with an adjustable tongue that will enable you to adjust the cap to your size.

Next, it's a good idea to choose a cap or hat that suits your face shape. Certain cap shapes can better enhance certain facial structures, so it's important to try out different styles to find the one that suits you best.

Finally, it's best to opt for a product made from natural materials such as cotton or wool. These materials offer greater breathability and are more comfortable to wear, especially in hot weather.

By taking these criteria into account, you can make your choice that matches your preferences in terms of size, style and material, to complete your outfit with elegance.

Sizing

As we often say, size isn't the most important factor, but when it comes to caps, and for your own comfort, you need to be aware of it! Whether you opt for a simple summer model or a luxury cap for a stylish look, it's crucial to choose the right size to avoid your head being compressed or, on the contrary, too free (at the risk of it flying off in the first gust of wind!).

Size is determined by head circumference. Take a tape measure or a piece of string and wrap it around your head, about 1 cm above your ears, without tightening it too much. Observe where the ribbon crosses and note this measurement, which corresponds to your head circumference and the size of cap or hat you need. This measurement will also help you choose other types of hat.

If you prefer not to measure your head size, you can opt for an adjustable model. Our range includes a variety of adjustable models, making them ideal for all head sizes.

The shape

Generally speaking, caps can be divided into two broad categories when it comes to shape:
  1. Caps with flat visor: These models feature a straight, flat visor, offering a modern, urban aesthetic. They are often associated with streetwear and hip-hop styles, and are popular with contemporary fashion enthusiasts.

  2. Curved caps: These caps feature a slightly curved peak, giving them a more traditional, casual look. They've been popular for a long time and suit a variety of styles, from casual wear to sporty looks. Caps with curved visors are versatile and can be adapted to a wide range of occasions.

By choosing between a flat or curved visor, you can opt for the style that best suits your personal preferences and outfit. Each of these shapes offers a distinct aesthetic and can complement different looks.

Which material to choose?

As usual, it's best to opt for natural materials for your cap/hat! Since hair produces sebum and perspiration is unavoidable, it's a good idea to avoid these odors becoming embedded in synthetic fibers.

For summer seasons, cotton or linen caps are an excellent choice. These natural materials are light, breathable and offer optimum comfort to protect your head from the sun while allowing air to circulate.

On the other hand, for colder times of the year, we recommend paying particular attention to warm materials such as velvet or wool. These materials offer extra insulation and keep your head warm when temperatures drop.

By opting for products made from natural materials, you're also promoting a more environmentally-friendly approach and helping to reduce your ecological footprint.

Whether for summer or winter, choosing headwear made from natural materials is an excellent way to guarantee your comfort while avoiding the inconvenience of persistent odors.
